FamilySearch adds 7 Million GenealogyBank Records: Index to obituaries from thousands of newspapers throughout the United States. Records are being published as they become available. This collection is created in partnership with www.GenealogyBank.com. It appears that the actual image is obtained through a link on genealogybank.com which is a subscription based product. However, the index does contain a lot of valuable information.

FamilySearch adds nearly 5 Million Civil Registrations, 1805-2001 from Porto Rico: Births, marriages, deaths, indexes and other records created by civil registration offices in Puerto Rico. Some records may date prior to 1885 as a few municipalities began civil registration before that date. Some of these records have been indexed and are searchable as part of this collection. Additional indexed records will be published as they become available.

Ancestry.co.uk Raises Subscription Rates: Is this a sign of what's to come from Ancestry.com? At the moment, they are the only ones who know for sure. We do know that shortly, Ancestry.co.uk will increase their rates by about 14% to their worldwide membership annual rate.
