Citrus County Genealogical Society Meeting October 9

The Citrus County Genealogical Society will meet October 9 at 10 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3474 W. Southern St., Lecanto.
"The speaker, Debbie Smyth, a professional genealogist from Palm Harbor, will present "Indirectly Evident: Finding William's Parents." Challenges arise in identifying parental relationships when the time period lacks traditional birth and death records. Research is further complicated by early marriage records that did not name parents. A genealogist must rely on the analysis and correlation of many sources to reach a conclusion. This presentation will explore a case study using indirect evidence to arrive at a conclusion for the parents of William. Guests are welcome to attend. For information call Mary Ann Machonkin at 382-5515 or go to www.citrusgenealogy.com
