1591 Birthday: Anne Hutchinson, religious liberal, one of the founders of Rhode Island.

State Timelines:
Even though it is hard to tell what made people move or disappear, these are just a few possibilities.
Rhode Island:
1729: Ship captains had to pay 50 pounds for each immigrant not from England, Ireland or the Channel Islands
1740: Population reaches 25,000
1747: Rhode Island gained Bristol, Tiverton, Little Compton, Warren & other towns in Bristol County from Massachusetts
1774: Slave importation outlawed
